Nicola is a self-taught artist based in the heart of Hertfordshire, working in a variety of mediums. With a deep-rooted passion for realism, she brings her subjects to life through vibrant colours and meticulous attention to detail.
Inspired by the natural wildlife and ever-changing landscapes of the Hertfordshire countryside, Nicola finds creative spark in her surroundings—whether it be animals, humans, botanical studies, or even abstract forms. Her art reflects whatever moment has captured her imagination. When drawing animals, she has a particular love for capturing their eyes—the window to their soul.
Medically retired at a young age due to an MS diagnosis, Nicola chose to reignite her lifelong passion for art. She now creates every day, constantly exploring new techniques and pushing her creative boundaries. Art has not only been a personal journey but also a powerful tool in supporting her mental wellbeing.
Nicola has built a vibrant community of like-minded artists and enthusiasts, sharing her love for creativity through monthly workshops and weekly art classes held from her home in Letchworth. Teaching is a true passion, and she’s dedicated to passing on her knowledge and encouraging others on their own artistic journeys. Watching her students’ creations come to life continues to be one of her greatest joys.
